It all began in the early 1900s when the Perth Technical School was established. In 2010, the University opened another new chapter in its history, changing its name from Curtin University of Technology to Curtin University. A now globally recognised university, Curtin University has grown sustainably to reach more corners of the globe.
In recent years, Curtin University has established itself among the top one per cent of universities in the world (ARWU 2022) plus 95 per cent of its research output was rated at or above world standard in the 2018 Excellence in Research for Australia results.
