Hi guys, Simon here from Go Study Australia, and I’m gonna tell you about a critical element of your student visa requirement that you may not be aware of. Depending on what country you’re from, you may be required to undertake a biometrics test in order to get your student visa. Now, it’s not relevant for every country, but I can tell you if you’re from France, Mexico, or Peru, and a bunch of other countries, then you are gonna need to undertake a biometrics test before you can get your student visa issued.

Now a biometrics test is where you go to a registered testing centre in your home country, and they will scan your fingerprints, your eyes, your facial structure, and your voice. It’s not that scary, it’s not that hard, but it’s just something that they need to do to identify you. Now it does cost additional money, and it varies per country, so you’re gonna need to check that out. But I’d like to stress that you must have your biometrics test done in order for your visa to be approved.
