Number two is the length. There is actual no length of expiration of the student visa. If you’re taking a one year course it’s valid for one year. If you’re taking five years worth of courses it’s valid for five years. It’s a great way for you to stay in Australia and experience the best of down under for as long as you want.

Number three, guys, is the post study work visa. If you study for two years or more at either a higher education or a post graduate level you’ll be eligible to receive a post graduate work visa, which will allow you to work full-time for two years after you graduate, which is awesome. Number one, it is relevant for any age. Unlike the working holiday visa that has age restrictions you can take a student visa when you’re 16, 60, 26, whatever. What matters is that you can prove that you’re on a genuine study path.

Number four is the, ah, ability to work. On a student visa you can work 40 hours every two weeks for the duration of your course. The best thing is when you’re on holidays you’ll be able to work full-time for the duration of your course as well which is awesome. So, you can work, make money while you’re staying here in Australia.

And number five, if you are studying post graduate level, so that’s a master’s degree or a PhD, your partner can also work full-time which will allow you to study while your partner makes money to support you on your Aussie adventure.
